Austrian born, Louis has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to food and he looks forward to indulging you with his refined cuisine. Having worked for some of Europe's and New Zealand's top restaurants, Louis' style is modern European with a traditional background.

Louis' menus feature plentiful seafood like lobster, scallops, oysters, mussels, salmon and fresh fish from the Marlborough Sounds. The best of New Zealand lamb, beef and game is carefully sourced daily from around New Zealand to guarantee your enjoyment. Freshly harvested produce and herbs from our own garden ensure the freshest flavours to compliment Louis' dishes. With Louis' European training and Michelin Restaurant experience, his delicately prepared desserts are often a favourite with guests.

With so many internationally renowned Marlborough Wines, Timara Lodge keeps an extensive cellar of the very best locally produced vintages and specialises in the Spy Valley wine range.
