Modifications and change is present at Timara.
At Timara: We are looking to the comforts of guest services by way of a new guest 6 seat tour buggy for touring the Estate. The provision of better amenities for guest comfort such as Sunscreen, Sun protection hats, provision of binoculars for guest use. A revised laundry & dry cleaning service for longer stay guests (at cost). A new Guest Gardeners booklet for guest self-guided tours over our 26 acres’ gardens, lake and Arboretum. New for next season is Timara guest picnic hampers to encourage guest to go picnicking at Timara. A new Select service VIP Tour guide and chauffeured Mercedes Benz GL 7 seater luxury vehicles for Chauffeured local wine and viticulture tours. Timara is upgrading our Helicopter services for VIP guest tours such as guided fishing or Queen Charlotte sounds icons tour.

Interior Décor; We are in midst of planning our new interior décor for our public rooms with William Morris & Sanderson wall coverings. These are true replica wallcoverings of late 19th century wall papers reproduced for interior decoration of older period Mansion houses with surrounds fabrics to match. We are adding some period French and British original antique furniture and a late 19th century Centre piece Dining Room Chandelier and period lighting. We are having our stunning open wood-burning Fireplaces rebuilt, that conform to safety legislation. Mmmm! Open log fires.
Estate Improvements.
A totally new addition to the already large gardens at Timara will see a new Japanese Garden development over around 4 acres of land. Protected by a conifer windbreak wall, a Japanese Cherry walkway meanders across the meadow, with white stone lined stream, lily and frogs pond with large rocks sprinkled into the landscape. Various miniature Japanese Maples, Rhododendrons and lager backdrop flowering trees will complement the Japanese Garden. Initial work with landscape planners is already underway.

From guest feedback, most guests have no idea of the beauty and size of this private Estate.
Overnight guest’s feel they were not informed correctly of the Timara “point of difference” and we feel that the visit to Timara is not at all about a convenient overnight or short stay.”
The opportunity for total relaxation, rejuvenation and walks in the forest / gardens / lake-lands is being overlooked by our industry partners. Bird life, bird song and wildfowl are everywhere here. This place is truly a photographers dream as has also been commented by a few mature camera pro guests.
Our NEW WEBSITE will emphasise our vision to attract guests to “dally a little longer” at Timara.
We will be welcoming lots of industry reps who are visiting TRENZ – make sure your partners take the opportunity of a visit too?

Kind Regards
Barry and Salina.
